Protection attorneys for the surgeon charged in Michael Jackson's death say they might require a delay in his future trial to train for new prosecution witnesses.
Protection attorney Ed Chernoff said Friday additional time could be wanted to line up specialist defense witnesses to rebut new prosecution experts estimated to be called during the involuntary manslaughter testing.
Chernoff is planned to report back to the judge later Friday. He says he needs to consult with Dr. Conrad Murray to determine whether to request a delay.
Higher Court Judge Michael Pastor refused to exclude the newest trial experts from testifying and says he will not essentially grant a delay.
Jury choice is set to carry on May 4, with opening statements the next week.
