CW promo season six
- What are your thoughts on Dean domesticated? I was worried. I was worried for him. I thought that he’d get claustrophobic living in a house. I thought he’d drink enough to put himself into a hospital. I wasn’t expecting Lisa and Ben to treat Dean like he was tender and traumatized. When I watch "Exile on Main Street", I see both Lisa and Ben taking care of Dean in their own way. Dean on the other hand can’t seem to believe that he’s in this makeshift normal situation with a wife and child. He looks as if he’s caught in a dream and he has yet to decide whether it’s a fantastic dream or a nightmare. It was troubling to watch Dean unsure of his reality and be cautious of his surroundings. He never seemed liked he was living in the moment. Dean always seemed tangled in barbed wire with one injured limb wrapped in a painting of family life marred with salt lines, holy water, and a rosary near by. The other injured limb is trapped in the never-ending struggle with demons and monsters.
- What did you think of Soul Less Sam? I should probably start out this answer by saying that this is just my opinion…I honestly don’t know what to think. He never felt like a real character. He never came across to me as a fully perceived thought, as if the writers were molding and constructing as they went along. Maybe it’s my perception that’s off. Maybe it was because Sam’s soul was always going to be forced back into his body. I kind of felt that the character shifted from writer to writer. Not sure why, maybe it was intentional. It’s almost as if the writers used the SoulLessSam character as a tool to move from one point of the story to another. He was a mechanism instead of a character. SoulLessSam served as a foil for the Campbells, that I understand. The existence of the character also took an odd role in pushing Dean’s character beyond his limits, I understand that too. Dean’s family now consisted of Bobby, Lisa, and Ben. Dean’s deal with Death was also a result of SoulLessSam. But when a character is used as a prop or a mechanism it’s difficult to say. The story isn’t over yet and I guess we shall see what happens next.
- Do you like Balthazar? I do. I love his attitude. I can’t agree with his style, but at least he has style.
- How do you feel about Jensen’s directorial debut? "Weekend At Bobby’s" was a fun episode. After a while, I forgot that Jensen Ackles had directed the episode. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It felt like an older episode of Supernatural, it just did. Jensen is good at it, and I hope he directs again…Jensen is better than good. Jensen is a smart, intuitive, sensitive, and passionate director. He knows what fans want to see and he knows what works for Supernatural.
5. Which episode is your favorite so far? "Appointment in Samarra." I’ll stop there, because I think we should review it.
6. Who is your favorite guest star? Let’s see now. When I think of a guest star I think of someone who only had one or two episodes to his/her credit on SPN. I’ll have to say Robert Picardo. I loved him on Star Trek: Voyager and I thought he was perfect for the part. He’s peculiar and striking at the same time and I think he worked very well in the Supernatural universe.
7. Do you have a favorite song this season? Yes, the Kenny Rogers song “The Gambler”. I don’t know how SPN got it, but when I realized it was Kenny I remember clapping and yaying out loud.
8. Do you have a favorite MOTW? Yes, I do. The Alpha Vampire (Rick Worthy). I loved the way he moved and the way he spoke. His sonorous voice moved me. I hope to see him again. He was beautiful and condescending. I loved the treachery in his voice. I was enthralled with his evil sincerity.
9. If you could bring any character back, who would it be and how would she/he play into season 6? John Winchester. He’s my favorite character. I mean that with love. I’d love to have a scene play out with SoulLessSam and John. What Would John Do? Would John be upset at Dean for allowing Sam to sacrifice himself? Would he have been as patient as Dean with SoulLessSam? Would John see a monster and take down SoulLessSam and worry about Sammy’s soul later? Or would John take the easy way out and tell Dean to take out SoulLessSam? I just don’t think John would have catered to SoulLessSam in the same way as Dean did. I think John would have made a decision right away.
10. Which character would you date and why? Easy. Bobby. Bobby Singer is intelligent and snarky. He’s level headed. I love his house full of books. I could help him do research. Bobby Singer is a handsome man! I can introduce him to my cats.
Is this hiatus over with yet?
