CW promo season 6
According to some in the Supernatural fandom, Jensen Ackles and Dean Winchester have been underappreciated this season. I’ve noticed a sudden surge of professional blogs focusing on Sam Winchester and the “no soul” storyline. But I stand with what I said in a previous blog.: Supernatural Chat, part 2 (season 6), question #2.
I love the show a great deal and I truly attempt to shy away from marketing and a network’s strategies to gain viewers. What I mean by that, is that I try to ignore what a network (I mean this in general. I'm not focusing on any particular network) is doing to advertise one character over another or it’s refusal to acknowledge other characters in favor of a more marketable character. I watch what I watch, because I want to and because I enjoy certain actors, characters, and storylines.
At the same time, I do love Supernatural and I think the network should do what it must to keep the ratings high and investors interested.

Perhaps the blogs focusing more so on the “no soul” storyline were trying to gain a more philosophical audience? Perhaps it was an attempt to lure new viewers who enjoy a menacing mystery? I don't necessarily see an issue with Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) being the focus of a larger plot in season six. Supernatural started with Sam Winchester's journey and I'd like to see that story come to fruition before Supernatural ends.
I only hope that Jensen's TV Guide win and his most current online poll wins assures the actor that fans have not forgotten about Dean Winchester, despite the murkiness of his storyline in season six.
My favorite character in Supernatural, John Winchester, has been deceased for some time now. I have noticed that in his absence, the character has been altered to suit the needs of the writers and of course, the story.
I'm more than willing to admit that I might not have a clear view of this. Is Dean Winchester being overlooked in season six?
